On December 12th, 2016 Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo emerged winner of the Ballon d’Or.
It was the fourth time Ronaldo would win the prestigious trophy.
Ronaldo won the award after helping Real Madrid beat Atletico Madrid again in the Champions League final.
