Panic as explosion rocks Lagos, shattering buildings [Video & Photos]

There was a air of uncertainty around Lagos on Sunday morning when a strange explosion reverberated around the state.

The loud bang which occured around 9am has been traced to a pipeline which caught fire around Abule Ado.

The impact of the explosion left many houses with doors and windows shattered.

As at the time of this report, there’s still no official response from state officials.

The explosion and attendant destruction of houses is reminiscent of the January 27, 2002 Ikeja Cantonment explosions which claimed many lives.
