Peseiro Invites Boniface, Orban, Osimhen, 17 Others For Sao Tome And Principe Match

Super Eagles manager Jose Peseiro has invited 20 players for the inconsequential Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sao Tome Principe.

The list consists of some of the regular invitees like Napoli’s striker Victor Osimhen, Leicester City’s duo Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi, vice captain, Williams Troost-Ekong among others.

Peseiro also handed invites to new players which includes Bayern Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface who has scored 3 goals in 3 German Bundesliga games and Gent’s duo of Gift Orban and Jordan Torunarigha.

Gift Orban has registered 2 goals in 4 appearances so far this season. The 21-year-old striker scored 22 goals in 20 games for the Belgian side last season.

Jose Peseiro has already qualified the Super Eagles for the tournament with a game to spare. and the team needs just a point from the game to top the group.

The match is scheduled for the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on September 10. The Super Eagles return to the stadium for a competitive match for the first time in over two years.
