Chief coach of the national U-17 team Fatai Amoo was among the important personalities on hand at the National Stadium, Lagos venue of the League of Legends Scouting tournament organised over three days by Paddysco Sports.
The high-profile event was also witnessed by former Regianna of Italy’s player Matthew Olorunleke and Franco Sartori who’s Chief Director at Albano Calcio of Italy.
According to Chief Peter Azunnaya Okereke, CEO of Paddysports, the aim of the highly-successful was to discover new talents and to mentor them to realise their full potential of having a career in football.
“The presence of Coach Amao of the Golden Eaglets is to demonstrate our seriousness that talented players could be discovered on this pitch, brushed up and assisted to earn a move abroad where they can have a fulfilling football career,” he said.
Speaking further, Okereke said the level of skills displayed by some of the players was very high and Alla they just need is to be guided in order not to lose their way as they climbed the ladder on their career path.
He said: “I’m extremely satisfied with what we have seen in the course of this programme. The talents here are unbelievable. Our friends from Italy are happy too and we are already making plans on how to maximise the opportunities we have seen at the League of Legends tournament.”
Padisco Sports Academy which is located in Festac Town, Lagos caters for kids from ages 3 and above to help in providing training in football, gymnastics, Ballet etc. They also have a football Academy which boasts of some of the most talented youngsters in the country.
The company recently organised its 4th annual sports fiesta and awards recently.
