Throwback: Real Madrid thrash Juventus 4-1 to win 2017 Champions League (video)
On June 3 2017 Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid beat Italian Serie A powerhouse Juventus in the Champions League final.
Real Madrid went ahead through their talisman Cristiano Ronaldo as early as the 20th minute.
Juventus found an equalizer through Mario Mandzukic in the 27th minute as the game was level at the halftime break.
A thunderous strike from Carlos Casemiro put Real Madrid back ahead in the 61st minute.
Ronaldo made it a two-goal advantage with his second strike of the game in the 64th minute.
Marco Asensio put a gloss on the scoreline with the fourth for Real Madrid in the 90th minute.
Real Madrid secured a comfortable win in front of 65,842 fans in attendance at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff.
At the time it was the 12th Champions League triumph for Real Madrid, while Juventus suffered their fifth defeat in the Champions League final.
