Remo Stars Beat Kano Pillars In Katsina To Maintain Perfect Start To NPFL 2024/25 Season

Remo Stars continued their impressive start to the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League season with another win away from home.

The Sky Blue Stars edged Kano Pillars at the Mohammed Dikko Stadium in Katsina as they secured a 2 nil win on Sunday.

Super Eagles right back Sodiq Ismail gave the away side the lead on the 26th minute via a brilliant strike.

Veteran midfielder, Rabiu Alli had a couple of chances from set pieces to direct his shots towards goal but failed to hit the target.

Kano Pillars continued to threaten the away side from set pieces but couldn’t trouble Beninois goalkeeper Adebiyi Obassa who was in goal for Remo Stars.

Togolese midfielder Kwame Mawuena doubled the lead for Remo Stars fifteen minutes after restart to give Daniel Ogunmodede’s side a comfortable lead.

The Sky Blue Stars kept a clean sheet and secured maximum points as they sit on top of the league table with 9 points, 5 goals and 3 clean sheets.
