Remo Stars Decimate Ikorodu City To Lift NPFL Title

Remo Stars have been officially crowned as the new champions of the Nigeria Premier Football League.

The Sky Blue Stars celebrated their achievements with an emphatic 4-1 annihilation of Ikorodu City in front of an ecstatic home crowd.

Midfielder Tosin Oyedokun put Ikorodu City ahead in the match in the fourteenth minute with a ferocious shot from range.

Shuaibu Ibrahim put Remo Stars ahead just before the break with a composed finish from Babatunde Bello’s strike.

The first helf ended with Daniel Ogunmodede’s men with a slim lead in the Southwest derby in Ikenne.

Remo Stars took charge of the match in the second half and increased their lead by a three-goal margin.

Martins Bello and Olamilekan Adedayo scored before the 70th minute to record a comfortable 4-1 over the visitors who are in contention to seal a continental ticket.
