Ikenne-based club, Remo Stars are still holding on to the top spot of the Nigeria Premier Football League after matchday 13.

The Sky Blue Stars outshined visiting Kwara United as they secured another three point with a comfortable nil victory.

Remo Stars as expected started the game the beter side with a couple of half chances as they tried to unsettle the visitors with an early goal.

Kwara United, with little or nothing to show succumbed to a 2 nil loss as Remo Stars returned to the summit of the league with 16 points after 13 games.

In other results, Enyimba’s poor start to the NPFL 2023/2024 season is gradually becoming a thing of the past as they recorded another win. The defending champions beat Abia Warriors 2-1 in the local derby which has now placed them 4th on the log with 22 points after 12 matches played.

Sunhine Stars failed to shine in Benin as Monday Odigie’s Bendel Insurance, the “Benin Arsenal” beat the Akure-based side by a lone goal at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.
