Rohr says Super Eagles loss to Algeria a good test

The Super Eagles of Nigeria were beaten 0-1 by the Les Vert of Algeria in an international friendly encounter played in Austria on Friday, October 9th.

A goal in the sixth minute from a corner kick round by Ramy Bensebaini gave the reigning African Champions the win against Nigeria.

As is the case with a friendly encounter Super Eagles boss used several new players for the first time.

Some of the debutants were Kevin Akpoguma, Frank Onyeka, Samson Tijani and Zaidu Sanusi.

Speaking after the game Super Eagles boss stated that the loss to Algeria was a good test ahead of their second friendly against the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia on Tuesday, October 13th.

He said, “This is a very good test for us. There are positives to pick from a tough game like this. Now we have to recover well and start to plan for the next game on Tuesday against another tough team.”
