The battle between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi to determine who is the best player in world football is a never-ending argument.
Brazilian legend Pele regarded as one of the greatest ever has decided to weigh in on the debate.
In a recent interview Pele chose Ronaldo ahead f Messi sighting he has been more consistent, he said “Cristiano Ronaldo is the best player in the world, he’s the most consistent and has dominated for 10 years.
“I think the best today is Cristiano Ronaldo because he is the most consistent. He’s been in the top for more than ten years.”
His choice is ironic as back in 2019 Pele told Gazzetta dello Sport Messi is whom he would like to play with not Ronaldo. He said,
“I think of Leo Messi,”He is a skilled player, gives assists, passes, scores, dribbles well. If we were in the team together, the opponents should worry about two players, not just one! Today, Messi is the most complete player.”
