Samuel Chukwueze on Monday, May 31st was confirmed to have surgery on the anterior rectus of his left leg.
Chukwueze elected to have surgery after he sustained an injury playing for Villarreal in the Europa League semifinal second leg game against Arsenal on the 6th of May.

The injury ruled Chukwueze out of action as Villarreal went on to beat Manchester United to lift the Europa League.
At the Quirónsalud Hospital in Barcelona, Chukwueze underwent surgery by Doctor Ramón Cugat on the anterior rectus of his left leg.
