The Nigerian Army in the last few weeks have recorded multiple successes in its onslaught against terrorist in the north east and apparently the momentum is still on the rise.

The Troops of Operation Lafiya Dole of the Nigerian Army neutralised about twenty Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP)/Boko Haram elements in a precise attack yesterday in Baga, Borno State.

In an highly offensive operation, troops of 13 battalion with support from the Army Super Cup in Baga intercepted the criminals who were in their way to launch attacks in neighbouring villages.

According to reports, twenty criminal elements were neutralised while caches of weapons were recovered which include: six AK-47 rifles, 520 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition and five 36 hand grenades.

Nevertheless, 9 soldiers were wounded in the operation and they have been evacuated to sector 3 hospital for treatment.

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant-General Tukur Burutai sends his congratulatory message to the troops for professionalism in the discharge of their duties.
