Throwback: Watch the Super Eagles beat Cameroon to win bronze at the 1992 AFCON
The Super Eagles of Nigeria beat the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon to win a bronze medal at the 1992 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
After losing to the Black Stars of Ghana, the Super Eagles bounced back with a 2-1 win against Cameroon.
The game was played at the Stade de l’Amitié, Dakar on January 25, 1992, with an attendance 20,000.
After a goalless first half, Friday Ekpo gave the Super Eagles the lead in the 75th minute, Emmanuel Maboang equalised for Cameroon in the 85th minute before Rashidi Yekini scored the winner in the 88th minute.
