See reactions as Emir of Kano Muhammadu Sanusi is dethroned

Mallam Muhammad Sanusi has been dethroned as the Emir of Kano by the Kano state government.

Salihu Yakasai the Director-General, Media and Communications of Kano State Government confirmed that the dethronement of Sanusi and that it was approved by the Kano State Executive Council.

The decision to dethrone Sanusi reportedly was down to his constant differences with Kano Governor Abdullahi Ganduje over several political issues.

Nigerians have taken to social media with different reactions both for and against the dethronement of Sanusi.
