Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has been named the Best African Player in the French Ligue 1 otherwise known as The Marc-Vivien Foé Prize.
Victor Osimhen set the Ligue 1 on fire with an impressive display in his debut season as the Lille striker bagged 18 goals, 5 assists in 38 appearances in all competitions.
He becomes the second Nigerian to win the accolade after former Super Eagles goalie Vincent Enyeama won it in 2014.
The award is given to the best African player in the league yearly and it’s in honour of late Cameronian player Marv-Vivien Foé who died in Lyon, France in 2003.
