Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has been named the Best African Player in the French Ligue 1 otherwise known as The Marc-Vivien Foé Prize.
Victor Osimhen set the Ligue 1 on fire with an impressive display in his debut season as the Lille striker bagged 18 goals, 5 assists in 38 appearances in all competitions.
He becomes the second Nigerian to win the accolade after former Super Eagles goalie Vincent Enyeama won it in 2014.
The award is given to the best African player in the league yearly and it’s in honour of late Cameronian player Marv-Vivien Foé who died in Lyon, France in 2003.

First season, massive impact. Victor Osimhen has been showing great promises right from the U17 days after he scooped up almost the whole awards at the FIFA cadets world Cup, where the Nigerian U17 captained by Kelechi Nwakali clinched the trophy for a record time. So, I am not surprised with giant strides Osimhen has made over the years, he is destined to do more greater things in the future. Congratulations once again to the Super Eagles prolific striker, I wish him all the best. Cheers!
