Super Eagles central defender Semi Ajayi has helped West Bromwich Albion secure promotion to the English Premier League.

West Bromwich Albion were confirmed to have returned to the Premier League after the round of championship games played on Wednesday, July 22nd.

West Bromwich Albion played out a 2-2 draw with Queens Park Rangers (QPR) in there final home game of the season at the Hawthorns.

However, the draw would be enough for the Baggies to gain promotion to the Premier League next season.

Slaven Bilic’s side however had to wait till the end of the game in other venues to confirm their promotion.

West Bromwich Albion’s promotion to the Premier League was secured thanks to Barnsley’s away win at Brentford.

The win meant West Bromwich Albion moved into second place and gained automatic promotion to the Premier League with first placed Leeds City.

After the game, Semi Ajayi took to his official Instagram account to post a picture and a message to celebrate West Bromwich Albion’s promotion to the Premier League.

The message said,  “GOD IS THE GREATEST 🙏🏾 PREMIER LEAGUE WE DID IT!!! ”
