The 2011/2012 Premier League season was keenly contested by Manchester City and bitter rivals Manchester United from the onset but blue side of Manchester owe their thanks to Sergio Aguero.
Both teams were tied on 86 points going into the final day of the season but Manchester City led the table on goal difference. The Red Devils had done he job winning at Sunderland while Manchester City were playing a 2-2 draw at home to QPR going into the last stages of the game then Sergio Aguero did this 👇

He handed Manchester City their first Championship title since 1968 that year with the last strike of the game.
On the flip side , if Manchester United had avoided that 6-1 annihilation at home to Manchester City, losing only by 2-1, they would have been tied on points, goal difference, goals scored etc) which would have made the league to have been decided by playoffs in a neutral ground.
