Simon Moses Strikes Again! Scores, Assists In Nantes 8 Goal Thriller Win
Super Eagles winger Moses Simon was on the scoresheet in Nantes’ win over Lorient in the French Ligue 1.
Nantes beat Lorient 5-3 in the thriller on Saturday, September 23 at the Stade de la Beaujoire -Louis Fonteneau.
Eli Junior Kroupi gave Lorient an early lead in the sixth minute of the encounter.
France international Matthis Albine equalised for Nantes 36 minutes later from a Simon assist and Eray Cumert scored the home team’s second of the game in the 46th minute.
Mostafa Mohammed made it 3-1 in the 55th minute as Nantes coasted with a two goal cushion. However Romain Favre scored for the away team in the 75th minute to make it 3-2 and complicate the game.
Florent Mollet made it 4-2 in the 83rd minute, Simon once again provided the assist and Tosin Aiyegun scored Lorient’s third of the game.
Simon scored in the 99th minute of the game to conclude the tie with a 5-3 scoreline.
Simon has racked up two assists and three assists in six French Ligue 1 games this season.
Nantes are sixth on the French Ligue 1 table with eight points from six matches.
