The Super Eagles of Nigeria have seeded alongside some of the heavyweights of African football in pot 1 ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations draw!
The three-time winners of the competition were seeded alongside host and five-time champions, Cameroun, defending champions Algeria, Senegal, Tunisia, and Morocco.
The six seeded teams will be placed in each of the six groups while three teams from the other three pots will be added to each group.
Nigeria finished top of their group with fourteen points while Sierra Leone placed second with seven points.
The draw is slated for the 17th of August at the Yaounde Conference Centre, Cameroon at 6 pm local time.
The Super Eagles will look to get a favorable draw as they hunt for their fourth AFCON trophy.
The 33rd edition of the tournament will commence on the 9th of January 2022 across six stadia in six Camerounian cities.
