Super Eagles will fall 2-0 in Porto Novo – Nigerian-born Benin Republic striker Omotoyossi boasts ahead Saturday cracker
Benin Republic forward, Razak Omotoyossi strongly believes that the Squirrels will defeat the Super Eagles of Nigeria by two goals in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier matchday 5 on Saturday in Porto Novo.
In the reverse fixture which held at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, Gernot Rohr’s men came from behind to win the encounter 2-1.
In an interview, Omotoyossi revealed that he’s confident of his team defeating their neighbors.
“I believe Benin will win 2-0, but you must tell Mr. Musa (Ahmed) to prepare the team, as the captain.
“Nigeria won the reverse fixture, the Super Eagles picking up a 2-1 victory in Uyo.
“It’ll be my dream to play for a bigger team and move to a team where I can play even in in the European competition.”
As things stand, Nigeria are well placed to make it to the finals of the AFCON barring any complacency. The three-time African champions are top of Group L with Eight points while Benin sit second on seven points.
Omotoyossi is a Nigerian but has roots in Benin republic also which enabled him to switch allegiance from Nigeria to Benin
