
Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has been nominated for the 2025 Ballon d’Or Women’s Yachine Trophy.
The Women’s Yacine Trophy celebrates the most outstanding women’s goalkeepers in the year under review.
Nnadozie’s nomination comes after another season of impressive performance for her former club side, Paris FC.
Chiamaka Nnadozie was in action as Paris FC won the Coupe de France Féminine over PSG last season.
Nnadozie’s penalty heroics helped her former club claim the trophy 5-4 on penalties.
She kept four clean sheets in six matches as the Super Falcons beat the Atlas Lionesses of Morocco to win their 10th WAFCON title in July.
Chiamaka Nnadozie will contend with Germany’s Ann-Katrin Berger, Spanish goalkeeper Cata Coll, England’s Hannah Hampton, and Dutch goalkeeper Daphne van Domselaar for the award.
The Super Falcons goalkeeper is the reigning CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year and will look to become the first woman goalkeeper to win the Yacine Trophy.
Meanwhile, Super Falcons interim coach. Justin Madugu was also nominated in the Ballon D’or Women’s coach of the Year category. The 61-year-old gaffer led the team a record 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations title in July.
