Super Falcons forward, Rasheedat Ajibade joins Atletico Madrid Ladies on a two-year deal!

Former under-20 international, Rasheedat Ajibade has signed a two-year deal with the female team of Atletico Madrid – Atletico Femenino.

The Spanish team announced the arrival of the Nigerian Striker to the club via its verified Twitter handle a few minutes ago.

The tweet reads;

Rasheedat08, the physical power of a Rojiblanco attack. The Nigerian striker signs up to 2022 😊

Rasheedat Ajibade, 21, who can also. play as a wide forward says she is delighted to be of the team and she is ready to give her best to the team when the league resumes;

It is a great privilege and an opportunity to be here.

It is a great step in my career and a great challenge for me and I am willing to give it my all.

Atletico Madrid are ccurrently third on the log behind league leaders, Barcelona and second-placed team, Real Madrid with 27 points after 13 matches.

Rasheedat Ajibade played for Avaldnes in the Norwegian league 2018 where she scored 12 goals in 39  appearances.

She joins her national teammate, Asisat Oshoala in the league. Asisat Oshaola plays for the Barcelona female team and she ranks 3rd on the goal scorers’ chart with 9 goals in 13 matches.
