Super Falcons’ Rasheedat Ajibade Signs For PSG

Paris Saint-Germain Women’s Football Club have announced the signing of Super Falcons captain and two-time Women’s Africa Cup of Nations winner, Rasheedat Ajibade.

Rasheedat Ajibade joins the French club after leading the Super Falcons to their 10th WAFCON title with a pulsating 3-2 win over host Morocco last month.

Ajibade joins PSG on a two-year deal until June 2027 after leaving Athletico Madrid as a free agent this summer.

The 25-year-old forward joins her national team colleague Jennifer Echegini at the club as they look to wrestle the French Women’s top division title from reigning champions Olympiques Lyon.

Ajibade says she is honored to join PSG, and she’s looking to win titles with the club and also inspire young footballers all over the world.

I’m deeply honoured to be joining Paris Saint-Germain, a top-drawer club in Europe. This is a major step for me, and I’m committed to giving my all to help PSG win titles and to inspire young footballers, be they in Nigeria or elsewhere.

Rasheedat Ajibade will compete in the UEFA Women’s Champions League this season as they look to better their last season’s outing, where they failed to reach the group stage of the competition. Paris Saint-Germain lost to Juventus 5-2 on aggregate.
