Hamburger SV sealed the deal for Nigerian striker Terem Moffi on Monday. The club completed his permanent transfer from OGC Nice for around €2 million plus bonuses.
Moffi signed a three-year contract that runs until 2029. He will wear the number 9 shirt for the Bundesliga side.
The 27-year-old Super Eagles’ centre-forward arrives after a loan spell at Porto, where he helped the team claim the Portuguese league title last season. He returned briefly to Nice before completing the move to Hamburg.
Club officials welcomed his physical presence and experience. Sports director Claus Costa praised Moffi’s determination and ability to trouble defences.
Moffi himself spoke of HSV’s lasting global reputation. He recalled how his father immediately recognised the club’s name and shared his excitement when he first heard of the interest.
The forward becomes one of Hamburg’s key summer additions as the team prepares for the new campaign.
