The postponed Tokyo 2020 Olympics finally got underway on Friday with an impressive opening ceremony which, sadly, had no live audience – no thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic which instigated its one-year postponement in the first place.

However, from Day 2 of the Games, the world’s biggest sporting competition, former Nigeria national football team captain Chief Olusegun Odegbami will be taking you, our esteemed readers, through the alleyways and canals of Tokyo to see the sights and hear the sounds which you will not see or hear from the broadcast media already stationed in Japan.
