Nigeria’s men’s senior basketball team, D’Tigers lost their second consecutive match at the ongoing Tokyo Olympics as fell 92-99 to Germany in the early hours of Wednesday.

In a keenly contested match at the Saitama Super Arena, the Germans tied the coach Mike Brown’s side on points twice in the game, at half time (50-50) and third quarter (74-74) before the D’Tigers fell apart in the last quarter.

Milwaukee Bucks shooting guard, Jordan Nwora was the star performer on the day as he scored 33 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists while Miye Oni had 15 points, 2 rebounds, and an assist.

D’Tigers qualification for the quarter-finals now looks dim as they have to beat Italy by a considerable margin and hope to get the outcomes of the game between Australia vs Italy and Australia vs Germany favors them.
