Nigeria’s female basketball team D’Tigress lost their second game in the basketball event at the ongoing Olympics.
D’Tigress suffered a blowout to France 87-62 as their chances of qualifying for the playoffs continue to fade away.
The team struggled to match up with the shooting prowess of the French team as they lost the first three quarters by considerable margins.
D’Tigress only made 34% of their field goals as opposed to the French team who made 50%.
However, Otis Hughley’s ladies put up an improved fourth-quarter performance as they tied the French ladies on points but it wasn’t enough to close the 25 points deficit.
The team will take on host, Japan in their last group game on Monday and hope for a win to stand a chance of qualifying for the playoffs.
