AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori has broken Steve McManaman’s record in the Rossoneri’s defeat to Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League first leg.
Inter Milan beat AC Milan 2-0 on Wednesday, May 10 at the San Siro Stadium.
Edin Dzeko made it 1-0 for Inter in the eighth minute and Henrik Miktarayan doubled the lead three minutes later.
Tomori becomes the first England player to appear for a non Premier League club in the Champions League semi-final since Mcmanaman for Real Madrid in 2003.
He is still eligible to represent Nigeria at senior level because he hasn’t played a significant amount of games for the Three Lions of England.
He has made nine appearances in the Champions League this season.
The second leg of the encounter takes place on Wednesday, May 16 at the San Siro Stadium.
