Tragic! Afghanistan youth footballer dies after falling from a plane at Kabul Airport! 

A young Afghanistan footballer identified as Zaki Anwari has been confirmed dead after falling from a United States Airforce plane on Monday. 

The 19-year-old footballer is believed to have died after he attempted to hold on to the outer part of the US Globemaster C-17 military aircraft. 

The Ariana Football Agency confirmed the death of Zaki Anwari on Monday. 

Afghanistans have been trying to leave the country by all means since Sunday after the Taliban took the control of government. 

Locals in thousands stormed the country as they clutched onto a moving plane at the Hamid Karzai International Airport (HKIA) in a desperate attempt to leave the country. 

The C-17 Globemaster aircraft airlifted 617 Afghans which is five times more than its required payload. However, it landed safely at the Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar. 

According to the Department of the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (OSI), investigations as regards the C-17 aircraft, as well as the incident, will be carried out. 

“In addition to online videos and press reports of people falling from the aircraft on departure, human remains were discovered in the wheel well of the C-17 after it landed at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. 

“thorough to ensure we obtain the facts regarding this tragic incident”, adding “our hearts go out to the families of the deceased”.

At least five people died at the Kabul Airport and the US troops, in an attempt to deter Afghans from forcing their way into flights of US diplomats and embassy staffs, fired shots in the air.
