Nigerian-Beninoise striker Razak Omotoyossi has passed away, according to multiple sources online.
The former Metz striker reportedly died in his home country on Tuesday, August 19, two weeks after the death of his sister.
Omotoyossi has been battling depression and illness recently, which reportedly contributed to his unfortunate death.
Sources also reveal that the 39-year-old former Al-Nassr, Zamalek, and Al-Nahda striker lost his house to fire in July.
Razak Omotoyossi was born in Lagos to Nigerian parents, but pledged his International allegiance to Benin Republic.

He represented the Cheetahs between 2004 and 2016 and rose to become the country’s second-highest goalscorer of all time, 21 goals behind Stephane Sessegnon.
Razak Omotoyossi was married to Nigerian actress Bose Alao, with whom he had four daughters.
Unfortunately, the union was quite a rocky one as it was bedevilled by allegations of domestic violence.
Even though he did not play for Nigeria, Razak Omotoyossi was quite close to a couple of Nigerian players, including Obafemi Martins, with whom he shares a striking resemblance.
The duo shared moments on and off the pitch until his death.
