Transfer talk: Belgian giants Anderlecht eyeing two Nigerian attacking players

RSC Anderlecht are preparing to land the Nigerian duo of Tolu Arokodare and Paul Mukairu as the Belgian side look to strengthen their attack ahead of the 2020/2021 season.

Tolu Arokodare nicknamed “new Osimhen” currently has seven goals in 11 appearances for his Latvian side, Valmera FC this season.

The 19-year-old superb form is attracting offers from various clubs in Europe. Clubs from Czechoslovakia, Germany and France all have their sights on the red-hot striker.

Tolu, in an interview with Ojbsport opened up on his similarities with Super Eagles and Lille striker Victor Osimhen.

“I like Osimhen and Ibrahimovic’s style of play, I draw a lot of inspiration from these strikers.I think i share the same quality by positioning well in the box and striking at the right time as Osimhen,” he said.

Paul Mukairu currently ply his trade in Turkey with Antalyaspor FC, the 20-year-old forward scored three times in 24 games last season and provided one assist.

Genk and Club Brugge of Belgium are also on the lookout to land the Abuja born striker, who made his professional debut in a 1-0 win against Göztepe SK.
