Super Eagles defender, William Troost-Ekong has expressed gladness after he was selected to the Selecao of Portugal in a friendly match.
The Super Eagles will play Portugal on the 17th of November at the Estadio Jose Alvalade stadium.
Troost-Ekong is expected to captain Nigeria in the encounter. He took to Twitter to express his elation.
“Always an honour,” he Tweeted.
Troost-Ekong has scored four goals in 62 games for Nigeria. He has scored one goal in 11 Championship games for Watford this season.
This will be Nigeria and Portugal’s first game at international level.
Portugal are in Group H of the 2022 FIFA World Cup with Ghana, Uruguay and South Korea.
