Troost-Ekong to join Serie A side on loan for six months!
Super Eagles vice-captain William Trokst-Ekong is on the verge of joining Italian Serie A side, Salernitana on loan for the rest of the football season.
The Nigerian defender will join the Italian team on a six-month deal with an obligation to buy thereafter according to various sources online.
The deal is set to be completed in the days ahead as Salernitana welcomes another Nigerian into the team following the departure of Simy Nwankwo last summer.
Ekong who has spent the last few years at Watford struggled with game time and injuries at some point at the club but has featured a couple of times in the Hornets’ recent games.
However, he was an unused substitute in Watford’s one-all hone draw against Rotterdam.
Ekong made 64 appearances for Waford between 2020 and 2022.
