Victor Boniface Wins Bundesliga Rookie Of The Year Award 2

Victor Boniface has been named as the German Bundesliga rookie of the year for the 2023/2024 season.

The Super Eagles striker was announced winner of the award on Wednesday. The 22-year-old striker won the award over RB Leipzig’s Xavi Simmons, Borussia Dortmund’s Ian Maatsen and Hoffenhiem’s Maximillian Beier.

Boniface, despite being on the sidelines for about three months this year has been immense for Bayer Leverkusen as he helped them win their first-ever Bundesliga title in April.

He has scored 13 goals and provided 8 assists in 22 appearnaces in the league so far with one league game to go.

Boniface has also been intrumental in Bayer Leverkusen’s European campaign this season with 5 goals and 1 assist in 7 matches.

The striker has three matches to add to his tally before the end of the season.

Bayer Leverkusen will compete in two finals: Europa League against Atalanta and DFB Pokal where they will taken on Kaiserslautern as they look to crown their unbeaten run with the two trophies.

The German Bundesliga champions are currently 50 matches unbeaten heading into their final three matches of the season.
