Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen has been named as Italian Serie A’s Player of the Month for September.
Osimhen returned from a frustrating beginning to the 2021/2022 season in August in the wake of being sent off in the first match against Venezia which made him miss the match against Genoa.
From that point forward, the Super Eagles striker has been in great form scoring seven goals in eight counterparts for Napoli all in September.
Of his eight goals, his first came against Udinese then a brace Sampdoria and adding one more to his Serie A tally against Cagliari.
Aside from his goals, Osimhen has added to Napoli’s fantastic beginning to the season by winning two penalty-kicks for his group.
In the Europa League, Osimhen has three goals with a brace against Leicester City and one goal in the 3-2 loss to Spartak Moscow.
