Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen is on the verge of sealing a 60 million euros transfer deal to Italian giants, Napoli Inthe days ahead.
The deal according several top sources in Italy could see Victor Osimhen become the most expensive Super Eagles player in history after Everton paid 40 million pounds for Alex Iwobi last summer.
Lille’s Chief Executive Officer, Marc Ingla said the deal is in its final stages and the player (Osimhen) has already made his decision to join Napoli.
In his words;
“We are at the final details for the transfer of Osimhen . There were also other clubs but the choice of the player is now made. We believe it is a shame to have to give him up but he will go away.”
“I say it is certainly a shame to see him go, but this is the rule – explained Ingla – this happens for all French clubs except the PSG. It is not only a matter of transfer prices, but also of salary”. A message that tastes goodbye: “Victor is only left for a year, but it is life”
Victor Osimhen joined Lille from Charleroi in Belgium last summer.
His 18 goals in 38 appearances earned him.a place in the Ligue 1 team of the season as well as the Marc-Vivien Foé Prize for the Best African Player in the French League.
