West Brom join three-way war for £20m-rated Eberechi Eze

West Brom secured their Premier League return only last month but thoughts are already turning to the window and how they can improve their team with the BirminghamMail, quoting the Guardian, suggesting that the Baggies have already held ‘informal talks’ with highly sought after QPR forward Eberechi Eze.

The 22-year-old bagged a stunner at the Hawthorns on the final day of the season, as the Hoops gave Albion an almighty scare in a 2-2 draw.

Crystal Palace have reportedly had a bid of £16m rejected for Eze, with the Championship outfit looking for £20m.

Midlands rivals Aston Villa have also been linked with Eze, who netted 14 times in the league last term.

Palace are expected to come back in for Eze, while West Ham’s interest is dependent on the sales of Felipe Anderson and Manuel Lanzini.

Should West Brom sanction a move for the England youth international, it would likely smash their transfer record – the £15m they paid to RB Leipzig for Oliver Burke in 2017.
