Why Chelsea can win the Champions League this season
Premier League giants Chelsea Football Club recorded a 3-0 aggregate win against Spanish side Atletico Madrid to qualify for the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals.
When the round of 16 draws were made very few picked Chelsea as favorites over Atletico Madrid who were cruising to the Spanish title at the time.
The Blues were struggling in the Premier League in contrast and were led by Frank Lampard who seemed to be learning on the job.
Chelsea will face Portuguese side Porto in the quarterfinals and although they produced an upset against the Cristiano Ronaldo-led Juventus should be no obstacle for the Blues.

Chelsea are unbeaten in their 13 games under Thomas Tuchel in all competitions, the longest ever unbeaten start by a manager for the Blues in the club’s history.
Since Thomas Tuchel’s first game in charge of Chelsea against Wolves in January, no team has made more changes to their starting lineup than the Blues.
Tuchel has improved their defensive shape going to three center backs and a solid defense is what wins titles.
The German tactician has shown that he is top class-leading French side Paris Saint Germain to the final last year and should be able to get it done this year.
2 Ngolo Kante
In the second leg against Atletico Madrid, N’Golo Kanté recovered possession of the ball 13 times, the most ball recoveries by a Chelsea player in a Champions League match since N’Golo Kanté’s 13 against Barcelona in February 2018.
The French man is the most pivotal ingredient to this Chelsea side with his workaholic attitude.
Kante sets the tempo for his side just as he did for the Leicester City team that won the Premier League in 2016, the Chelsea side that won the Premier League in 2017, he can also do it for the Blues in the Champions League.
