Ademola Lookman, the Super Eagles’ winger, has explained why he chose Atalanta over RB Leipzig.
After spending last season on loan at Leicester City, Ademola Lookman completed his move on Thursday for €9 million plus performance-related bonuses.
The Nigeria international, who was born in London, believes his qualities are ideal for Gian Piero Gasperini’s all-attack style of play.
The former RB Leipzig winger said;
“I am explosive, exciting, like to score goals, set up goals, make things happen,” Lookman told the official Atalanta YouTube channel”
“I’m happy to be here, it’s been a long time in terms of knowing the interest of the club, how interested they were in me and now I’m just ready to get to work.”
“I think for me the platform Serie A is amazing, it’s a massive club in Italy and plays attacking, great football, so for me it was an easy decision to make really.”
I’d say I am explosive, exciting, like to score goals, like to set up goals, like to make things happen.”
Ademola Lookman is mainly a left-sided winger but he can also play as a support striker or on the right side of attack.
The Nigerian winger scored 6 six goals, provided five assists in 38 matches for Leicester City last season.
