Why Odion Ighalo should snub Manchester United and go back to China for the money
When Manchester United showed interest in former Super Eagles forward Odion Ighalo it was perceived as a joke. However, the deal will materialize and just before the deadline of the winter transfer window.
Ighalo was not expected to be of much importance to Ole Gunnar Solksjaer’s team but since his arrival, he has become an impact player. He has scored four goals in just limited time and is now a fan favourite. According to reports Manchester United are willing to make his loan deal permanent despite the impending return of Marcus Rashford from injury, however, with his recent performances, Shanghai Shenhua have now stated their desire to keep him with a mouth-watering £400,000 deal.
While many are of the opinion that Ighalo should stay at Manchester United and continue his good form, the better decision is to go back to China and here are reasons to do so
1 According to reports Ighalo and his wife Sonia are distant since he moved to Manchester United, reconnecting with his family will do well for him with a return
2. £400,000 is a whole lot of money which is life-changing. Reportedly for three years will be good enough for Ighalo even when he begins to decline. At age 31, Ighalo is already at his peak and will need to start thinking of his retirement rather than temporary satisfaction.
3 Manchester United want him to stay but at a reduced wage and also his playing time will significantly reduce when England international and fan favourite Marcus Rashford returns
4 Rather than stay and become a bench warmer it will do Ighalo just to not stay beyond his loan deal as if he signs a permanent deal despite taking reduced wages more will be expected from him

I will want to agree with you a little in the sense that, before Ighalo signed a loan deal with Manchester United he's been yearning to fulfill his life long child dreams of playing for the Red Devils. Now that that dream has being fulfilled, I will advise Odion Ighalo to return to his club in China and collect his retirement money which is what they are offering him there now. He should also be use the opportunity to reconnect with his distant family.
