The Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives Honourable Femi Gbajabiamila hassaid that the acting Chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Professor Kemebradikumo Pondei who slumped during his probe today won’t appear before the panel again.
The Speaker said, the written response of the NDDC chairman will be adopted while he gets medical attention.
He said;
“There would be no need for the MD of NDDC to appear anymore since he has submitted a written response.”
“I wish Mr. Pondei safe and speedy recovery and I have also sent the Medical Director of the National Assembly to follow up to ascertain the condition of the MD. Thank you very much and I, therefore, hand over to the current chairman of the Committee, Mr. Thomas Ereyitomi to continue with the hearing.”
Professor Kemebradikumo Pondei lost consciousness while the House of Representatives panel were asking him questions as regards a sum of 631 million allegedly given to Clear Point Communications for training people that will locate and show NDDC projects around the region.
