Who is Victoria Smith?
Victoria Smith is an American woman who shot her husband 18 times. She is currently incarcerated at the Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri. She is serving a life sentence and a consecutive 25-year sentence for armed criminal action in connection with her husband Chris Isaac’s murder.
In 2013, Smith pleaded guilty to all charges leveled against her. She has always maintained her guilt in what occurred on the day of the murder, and she has always stood by her confession.
However, when she delivers her closing remarks at the end of her I Am A Killer episode, she stumbles over the confession and expresses some skepticism about the statement she has always maintained. It is unclear whether this will have an impact on her case and whether it will now be reconsidered.

Victoria Smith fatally shot her husband Chris Isaac 18 times in 2013. She confessed to shooting him six times in the body and twelve times in the head.
She immediately called the police and admitted what she’d done. Smith describes in her Netflix interview how she went into her kitchen to get some cigarettes, but instead grabbed a gun. She describes her husband sleeping on the couch and how “something just told me to end him.” “That’s the last I remember,” she says.
The story is more nuanced and complex than that. Smith had a difficult childhood, suffering from abuse at the hands of her alcoholic mother – her father was never identified. This continued into her adolescence and adulthood, during which she had several abusive relationships with men. Smith fled when she discovered she was pregnant with her son Kenny at the age of 17, and she was also in an abusive relationship with his father.
She was said to be suffering from severe mental health issues by the time she met Chris Isaac, even having hallucinations at times. She also had some learning difficulties. When Isaac began abusing opioids, he began inflicting pain on Smith to the point where she broke bones and lived in constant fear of him – she described his behavior as “madman” on some days. Years of ill treatment are thought to have pushed her over the edge, and she may not have been fully mentally responsible for her actions.
How old is Victoria Smith?
Victoria Smith is 56 years old right now. Smith was 34 when she started dating Chris Isaac in 2000, and he was 30. This would place Smith in her late fifties, having been born in 1966.
Smith is said to have come from a string of bad relationships before marrying in 2001. Her marriage to Isaac was initially happy, until he injured his back in a work accident and was prescribed opioids. Following this incident, it was claimed that his behavior toward his wife began to change, eventually leading to events that led to his murder.
Victoria Smith son Kenny Smith
Kenny is currently thought to be living rough and illegally in Germany, according to pictures shared on Betty Frizzell’s – Victoria’s sister – Facebook page(opens in new tab) (opens in new tab). She has also shared videos(opens in new tab) of herself speaking with German authorities in an attempt to return him to the United States.
It is unknown whether they were successful, or whether he is still in Europe, because she has not recently added any updates on this.
Kenny Smith had a strained relationship with his mother, which led to her losing custody of him at various points in his life. Smith recalls in the documentary how, when he was born, she thought he was the “best thing ever,” hoping he’d help her turn her life around. Instead, she became addicted to alcohol, and Kenny’s grandmother was granted custody of him. Smith expressed regret over these events, saying she should have been more present for him.
In the weeks leading up to the shooting, Kenny Smith had recently moved back into the trailer his mother and stepfather shared, in an effort to repair their relationship. With schizophrenia, transcripts of a phone call Kenny made to police days before the murder exist, in which he admitted to suicidal and homicidal thoughts toward his mother and stepfather. With Victoria Smith’s mental health issues and inability to recall events in the aftermath of the shooting, some family members believe Kenny, not Victoria, is to blame for Chris’s death.
