A list 30+ Female Angels Names and their meanings

Angels are spiritual beings believed to be messengers of God according to the Christian faith. They are also regarded as guards sent by God to protect humans from evil.

It is believed that Angels are bigger than humans with wings and halos.

While male angels names (Michael, Gabriel among others) are the most prevalent in the Bible, there are no female angels names mentioned in the Bible.

However, the book of Zechariah in the Bible made mention of some women with wings:

“Then I raised my eyes and looked, and there were two women, coming with the wind in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the basket between earth and heaven. So I said to the angel who talked with me, “Where are they carrying the basket?” And he said to me, “To build a house for it in the land of Shinar; when it is ready, the basket will be set there on its base.” Zech 5:9-11

Whether female angels exist remains debatable even though the Bible says angels are neither male nor female in the book of Hebrews 1 v 14. However, female angels’ names are very common and they come from different sources such as Zoroastrianism, and literature, Judaism, Christianity, among others.
