AFCON trophy reportedly stolen in Egypt
On Friday, September 4th it is been reported that a special version of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) trophy has reportedly been stolen.
The reports state that the AFCON trophy was stolen from the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) headquarters in Cairo.
The news was reported by Ahmed Shobier who was the former EFA vice-president.

Egypt are the most successful side in the competition and were the last AFCON host in 2019.
The confirmation about the location of the AFCON trophy is still ongoing.
