Super Eagles legend Ahmed Musa marked his second return to Kano Pillars on a fantastic note as he helped his boyhood club secure a home win over Sunshine Stars in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
Musa scored in each half of the match as the former champions recorded a 2-nil win over the visitors at the Mohammed Dikko Stadium in Katsina.
Ahmed Musa gave the host an early lead as he raced into the box to power a right-footed shot into the left side of Emmanuel Ofori’s goal.
The Super Eagles forward scored again a few minutes after the restart to double the advantage for Kano Pillars.
The 29-old-old striker could have scored a hattrick on the night but he failed to convert from the penalty spot on the 70th minute.
However, Ahmed Musa’s brace was enough to secure three points for Kano Pillars as they recorded their first win in three games.
Kano Pillars are 8th on the log with 5 points after 7 matches.
