The Super Falcons are steadily building toward full strength in Casablanca as preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations intensify. Nigeria’s camp in Morocco has grown to 19 members, with only six more players still expected to link up with the squad.
Nigeria’s current squad in camp features goalkeepers Chiamaka Nnadozie, Comfort Erhabor, and Fatima Oloko, alongside a defensive unit of Osinachi Ohale, Shukurat Oladipo, Rofiat Imuran, Glory Ogbonna, Oluwatosin Demehin, Sikiratu Isah, and Christy Ucheibe. Rasheedat Ajibade, Halimatu Ayinde, Toni Payne, and Jennifer Echegini anchor the midfield, while Asisat Oshoala, Joy Omewa, Francisca Ordega, Omorinsola Babajide, and Chinwendu Ihezuo lead the forward line.
Fifteen players took part in training this evening at La Noria Club, with the rest of the group filtering in as travel plans align. Halimatu Ayinde and Joy Omewa touched down shortly after the session, while Osinachi Ohale and Chinwendu Ihezuo were airborne from Pachuca as camp activities got underway, both expected to join the group imminently.
Six players remain outstanding as the Super Falcons continue assembling their full squad. Defender Michelle Alozie and midfielder Deborah Abiodun are still en route, alongside forwards Gift Monday, Esther Okoronkwo, Folashade Ijamilusi, and Uchenna Kanu.
With the tournament opener against Malawi just over a week away, Nigeria’s technical crew will be working to have the full squad assembled and training together well ahead of kickoff in Rabat. The Super Falcons enter the competition as defending champions, chasing a record-extending 11th continental title.
