The 23-year-old highly versatile midfielder took to his verified Twitter handle to bid farewell to his former club, Ajax as well as the fans as he promised that they have a special place in his heart.

Manchester United announced the signing of Donny van de Beek today for a fee reported to be in the region of £40m as he becomes Ole Gunnar Solksjaer’s first summer signing.
The Dutch midfielder will put on the jersey number 34 in honour of his friend and ex-teammate at Ajax; Abdelhak Nouri who suffered cardiac arrest in a friendly match in 2017 but woke up after 32 months.
