Super Falcons duo of Rasheedat Ajibade and Christy Ucheibe are relishing their invitation to represent Nigeria at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The tournament will be held this year in Australia and New Zealand between July 20 and August 20.
This is Nigeria’s ninth consecutive appearance at the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Ajibade took to Twitter to express her delight.
“To serve with heart and might! Excited to be a part of the Super Falcons squad heading to the World Cup,” she wrote
While Ucheibe was also delighted to be on the World Cup list.
“Proud to be called up to the World Cup with the Super Falcons of Nigeria. It’s time to work,” she posted
Ajibade has scored four goals in 19 appearances for the Super Falcons and Ucheibe has made 10 appearances for the Super Falcons yielding one goal.
The Super Falcons are in Group B of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup alongside Australia, Republic of Ireland and Canada.
