World Heavyweight Champion; Anthony Joshua will be in the squared ropes once again on the 20th of June later this year as he defends his IBF, WBO and IBO World titles against Kubrat Pulev. The British-Nigerian boxer reclaimed his world titles via a unanimous decision against Andy Ruiz in a rematch in Saudia Arabia on the 7th of December 2019.
Anthony Joshua has not fought in the United Kingdom in the last two years after he defeated Aleksander Povetkin at Wembley two years ago. However, a deal has now been reached and it appears that the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London is the likeliest venue to host the bout between Anthony Joshua and 38-year-old Kubrat Pulev.
Kubrat Pulev, in 29 fight, has only lost one and that came against an opponent Anthony Joshua defeated to win his first unified heavyweight title in 2017: Vladimir Klitschko and the Bulgarian boxer believes he can box out Anthony Joshua right in front of his home fans: I’m ready to come to London and bust you up in front of your own fans,”
Pulev was billed to face Anthony Joshua in 2017 but couldn’t due to injury but now the Bulgarian is set to quash the hugely anticipated bout between WBC Champion; Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.
